(Beijing, October 11, 2004) ¨C Recently, T3G Technology Co., Ltd., held a ceremony to celebrate the arrival of the Genie Modem IC and its successful initial tests and commemorate the realization of the R eference Design board. The ceremony was chaired by Johan Pross, CEO and was honored by speakers Mr. Tang Ru'an, Mr. Thierry Laurent and D r. Xie Yongbin, T3G board members , and the T3G development team .
Mr. Johan Pross expressed his sincere thanks for all the hard work so far and calls on greater dedication and teamwork in the opening speech. Mr. Thierry Laurent said that with this achievement, T3G will have no problem to be the No. 1 in the TD-SCDMA terminal field and encouraged the team to continue their outstanding work. Mr. Tang Ru'an said that he is very happy with the realization of the first Modem IC and promising first successful tests and believes that T3G's first milestone achievement is sure to have a great impact on the commercialization of the TD-SCDMA Terminal.
The Samsung team dispatched to the T3G ¡®s location in Beijing also joined in the ceremony and showed the PCB for their TD-SCDMA/GSM/GPRS dual mode demo phone, which is to be launched by the end of this year.

The much-anticipated first Genie Modem IC engineering samples arrived at T3G in the evening of September 28, an exciting and memorable moment after 10 months' hard work by the whole T3G team.

After less than 2 weeks' intensive testing, the Modem IC has passed all defined stand-alone tests, and demonstrated the capability for reaching the L1/L2/L3 TDD-LCR first call, when integrated into the complete system. T3G has strong confidence that riding on this success, it will consolidate its leading position in the TD-SCDMA UE chipset and reference design area.
