Beijing – Dec 26, 2006 - Mr. Zhang Daijun, CTO of T3G Technology, was awarded the designation of “10 Most Outstanding Contributors” to the Electronics and Information Industry of Beijing last Friday, a prestigious honor jointly granted by the Ministry of Information Industry (MII) and the Industrial Promotion Bureau of the Beijing Municipal Government (IPBB). Mr. Zhang's naming of one of the “10 Most Outstanding Contributors” is not only a personal recognition for Mr. Zhang for the great contributions he made in the realm of TD-SCDMA handset chipset, but also an official acknowledgement for T3G, the market leader, for its many achievements that have driven the commercialization of TD-SCDMA , China 's homegrown 3G standard. The announcement of “10 Most Outstanding Contributors” was made at an conference in the theme of “Glorious 2006, IT Beijing ” organized by the Industrial Promotion Bureau of the Beijing, which also selected the Beijing IT Industry's “ 10 Biggest News of the Year”.

The “Glorious 2006, IT Beijing ”conference aims to facilitate the carrying out of the national strategy of innovation by means of awarding outstanding achievers who made significant contributions to the progress that the Beijing Electronics and Information Industry has made in terms of independent innovation and successes of key projects. In his capacity as the CTO of T3G since 2002, Mr. Zhang Daijun has built up an R&D team of TD-SCDMA handset IC and reference design that has made a series of breakthroughs that culminated in the word's first commercial 384kbps data rate – enabled TD-SCDMA/GSM dual mode chipset and reference design. Currently, T3G's terminal chipset and reference designs have been adopted by international handset makers Samsung and Motorola as well as by Techfaith, the biggest local handset design house. Starting from November 2006, TD-SCDMA/GSM dual mode handsets from Samsung and Motorola powered by T3G chipset have successfully passed operators' field tests and were released to trial users in China.

T3G's design wins of international handset makers is a testimony of the market acceptance of its cutting-edge product and the high level of maturity of its solution. It also signals the upgrade of China 's telecommunications industry from the role of a dependent on foreign technology to that of a supplier of advanced solutions to foreign companies.

By taking on and surmounting numerous challenges, Mr. Zhang Daijun has gained a lot of experience in the R&D and commercialization of advanced technologies. An open-minded visionary with cooperative mentality, his great leadership and efficient R&D management are highly regarded by peers at home and abroad.

The “Glorious 2006, IT Beijing ”event was attended by officials from the MII, the Beijing Municipal government, the IPBB, the Beijing Development and Reform Commission, the Beijing Science Committee, the Zhongguancun Administration Committee and executives and managers from some famous IT companies in Beijing. More than 100 IT companies in Beijing participated in the selection of “10 Outstanding Contributors” event.

As the only TD-SCDMA handset chipset vendor situated in Beijing , T3G has received substantial attention and support from various levels of the Chinese government in the past. In 2006, T3G won a government contact from the Zhongguancun Science Park to develop commercial TD-SCDMA based 3G Multimedia Handset solutions.
